The Baumit StarSystem is a multi-layer adhesive system consisting of:

• Thermal insulation boards made of expanded polystyrene (white or graphite), extruded polystyrene (XPS), or mineral wool.
• Cement-based adhesive reinforced with resins (StarContact Gel) for bonding the insulation boards as well as for the smoothing layer.
• Mechanical fastening dowels for securing the thermal insulation boards.
• Alkali-resistant fiberglass reinforcement mesh (Baumit StarTex) to strengthen the layer. One substrate primer (Baumit UniPrimer) to improve adhesion before applying the final coat.
• Final silicone-based ready-to-use render (StarTop) for the façade’s finishing coat.
• Fixed corner beads and drip-edge corner beads (PVC with fiberglass mesh on both sides) for reinforcing exterior corners.

In addition to the above materials, supplementary components necessary for the complete and proper execution of the work are also included.
