Conventional Roof Insulation – Trafficable Flat Roof

Conventional trafficable roof insulation system with final tile finish.
It allows unrestricted use of the roof without maintenance requirements. This is a trafficable thermal insulation and waterproofing system for flat roofs.

Application method:

• Thorough cleaning of the substrate, removal of all loose parts, and repair where necessary.
• Application of Avipast Special bituminous emulsion (water-based bitumen) to create a vapour barrier.
• Installation of thermal insulation material with a minimum thickness of 5 cm (Ravatherm XPS X Energy is recommended).
• Formation of slopes using cement screed reinforced with fiberglass mesh.
• Application of the first layer of cementitious waterproofing Mapelastic.
• Reinforcement of corners and critical areas with Mapeband Easy tape.
• Application of the second layer of Mapelastic.
• Installation of tiles using flexible tile adhesive Kerastile G2.
