FerroGard Anodes 510 Patch

Sika FerroGard 510 Patch are discrete sacrificial zinc anodes used within repaired areas of reinforced concrete, which corrode as a result of chloride ingress into the concrete mass or concrete carbonation. The Sika FerroGard 510 Patch sacrificial anodes are placed around the perimeter of the areas to be repaired and connected to the existing reinforcement before applying the repair mortar. Reinforcement outside the repaired area is inherently at higher risk of corrosion due to the passive protection provided by the repaired area. Once installed, the Sika FerroGard 510 Patch anodes will corrode in place of the adjacent reinforcement, providing anti-corrosion protection against anodic corrosion. Furthermore, all standard repair mortars, bonding bridges, and anti-corrosion protective coatings can be used, as the Sika FerroGard 510 Patch anodes are installed in the surrounding concrete, not within the repair mortar mass.

  • Sika FerroGard Anodes corrode in place of the structural steel, providing protection against further corrosion damage.
  • No long-term maintenance costs.
  • Enhances the passive protection of the reinforcement.
  • Quick installation – no additional concrete removal required.
  • Performance can be monitored.
  • Cost-effective solution for corrosion control.
