FIBRANgeo rock wool products are natural inorganic fibrous insulating materials, internationally recognized for their thermal and acoustic insulation properties, as well as for their excellent fire performance.
Geolan rock wool is a natural vapor-permeable insulating material derived from rocks that are 200 million years old. Thanks to its structure, FIBRANgeo rock wool traps dry and stable air, reducing heat exchange between hot and cold surfaces, thus achieving very low thermal conductivity (λ = 0.033–0.036 W/mK). Its properties remain stable and unaltered throughout its entire service life.
FIBRANgeo rock wool also achieves the absorption of external noise, meeting the requirements of the Sound Insulation Regulation. Geolan products possess the appropriate technical characteristics to address airborne and impact noise in all types of construction. Geolan rock wool is a non-combustible material with an operating temperature above 750 °C.
