Hyperdesmo ADY 500

Hyperdesmo ADY 500 is a one-component aliphatic polyurethane varnish that cures with atmospheric moisture to form a hard yet flexible film.

It consists of an elastomeric, hydrophobic polyurethane resin combined with special inorganic components and is used as a topcoat in Hyperdesmo systems, providing protection from solar radiation and helping to preserve the surface’s color.

Hyperdesmo ADY 500 is used for:

  • Final protective coat for Hyperdesmo systems
  • Color protection for the waterproofing membrane
  • Additional protection against UV radiation

  • Aliphatic polyurethane varnish
  • Single-component
  • High resistance to ultraviolet radiation
  • Does not yellow when exposed to the sun
  • No color change, even in dark shades
  • High elasticity
  • High tensile strength
  • Hydrophobic surface
  • High resistance to hydrolysis
  • Resistance to chemical stress
  • Resistance to mechanical and thermal stress
  • Suitable as a topcoat for Hyperdesmo systems
  • Certified to EN 1504-2:2004

Protection against UV radiation

One of the key features of Hyperdesmo ADY 500 is its resistance to ultraviolet radiation. Its aliphatic composition allows it to be used as a topcoat on exposed surfaces without yellowing due to sun exposure. In the white shade, the Solar Reflectance Index (SRI) is 107 according to ASTM E-1980.

The coverage rate for Hyperdesmo ADY 500 is:

0.2–0.5 kg/m²

The required amount depends on the specific application and the final configuration of the system.

Viscosity at 25°C: 100–500 cP

Specific gravity at 20°C: 1.15–1.25 g/cm³

White – Terracotta

Metal Pails 5 kg – 20 kg

Before application, stir the product by hand or with a low-speed mixer.

Hyperdesmo ADY 500 can be applied using:

  • Roller
  • Brush
  • Spray

If applying by spray, it may be thinned with SOLVENT-01 at a ratio of 5–10%. Application over the primary Hyperdesmo coating must be completed within 72 hours of applying the primary coating.
