Mapeguard UM 35

Mapeguard-UM-35 is an anti-fracture and waterproofing uncoupling membrane suitable for cracked, damp, or not fully cured substrates. It is installed prior to laying ceramic tiles or natural stone, both indoors and outdoors, allowing crack bridging and installation without the need to maintain the existing layout of expansion joints.

The membrane consists of an HDPE dimpled layer with a textured surface and a polypropylene fabric on the underside. This combination significantly improves adhesive bonding on both sides of Mapeguard-UM-35, ensuring stable and secure installation.

Controls substrate cracking by acting as an anti-fracture layer.
Acts as a separation layer, preventing cracks from propagating to the tiled surface.
Is a fully waterproof membrane that protects substrates from water penetration, increasing their service life.
Can be used in both interior and exterior applications.
Any residual moisture in the substrate is released thanks to the air channels on the back side of the membrane.

In floors with underfloor heating, even with limited thickness, Mapeguard UM 35 ensures more uniform heat distribution.
The special configuration of the embossed membrane structure provides perfect mechanical bonding with the adhesive, achieving high adhesion between ceramic tiles or natural stone and Mapeguard UM 35.
