Mapetherm AR1 GG

Mapetherm AR1 GG is a one-component mortar, available in grey or white, for bonding and base-coating thermal insulation boards within the Mapetherm System. It is manufactured from cement, selected graded sand, synthetic resins, polypropylene fibers, and special additives, providing excellent adhesion, high mechanical strength, and ease of application.

▪ External thermal insulation systems (ETICS): bonding and reinforced levelling of insulation boards (EPS, XPS, PIR, phenolic foam, mineral wool, wood fiber, cork, aerogel, etc.) on walls or ceilings, applied directly onto renders, masonry, or concrete.
▪ Levelling coats, including reinforced coats, for both interior and exterior applications.
▪ Reinforced levelling coats on boards (fiber-cement type) used as cladding for ventilated façades in exterior
applications

Low viscosity, therefore easy spreading.
High thixotropy: Mapetherm AR1 GG can be applied on vertical surfaces without sagging and without the risk of the insulation boards slipping, including large-size panels.
Excellent adhesion to all thermal insulation boards and to all conventional building substrates: levelling compounds, traditional renders, old paints, and well-adhered colored coatings.
Strength development without significant shrinkage.
High mechanical strength.

Material consumption is significantly affected by the roughness of the substrate and the method of application. On a smooth substrate, the approximate consumption is as follows:
▪ Perimeter and spot bonding of thermal insulation boards: approximately 3.0–4.0 kg/m²
▪ Bonding of thermal insulation boards with full-surface application of adhesive to the back of the insulation: approximately 4.0–6.0 kg/m²
