Mapetherm Flex RP

Mapetherm Flex RP is an organic, lightweight and flexible base-coat smoothing compound for external thermal insulation systems, free of cement. It is made from acrylic resins in aqueous dispersion, selected fillers, glass microspheres, and polypropylene fibers.
It is applied over insulation boards as a base coat in combination with reinforcement mesh and is characterized by high mechanical strength and elasticity. It shows excellent resistance to impact and weathering, while effectively protecting façades from hail, mold, and algae.

  • Contains additives that make it resistant to biological attack, such as microorganisms, mold, and algae.
  • Unlike traditional cement-based smoothing compounds, it does not require full curing or priming before application of the final coat, significantly reducing overall application time.
  • Exhibits excellent adhesion to all types of insulation boards, levelling mortars, traditional renders, and well-bonded existing coatings.
  • Thanks to its composition, it offers very high impact resistance; within the main Mapetherm systems and with a 1.2 mm layer thickness, it passes impact tests up to 15 Joules.
  • Can be tinted via the ColorMap system and, when applied in a shade close to the final colour, reduces the number of required finish coats, covers substrate imperfections, and helps achieve a uniform final appearance.

Mapetherm Flex RP 1.5 mm: 4.0 – 5.0 kg/m² per 3–4 mm of thickness.
Mapetherm Flex RP 0.5 mm: 1.9 – 2.1 kg/m² per 1 mm of thickness.

Consumption is strongly inuenced by the roughness of the substrate.
