Mapetherm System Wool

The Mapetherm System Wool is an advanced external thermal insulation system based on mineral wool, offering superior breathability, sound insulation, and fire resistance. Thanks to its structure, it allows effective water vapor diffusion, making it the ideal solution for buildings with increased ventilation requirements, such as restaurants, sports facilities, and areas with high humidity. At the same time, its high fire resistance makes it suitable for applications where safety is crucial, such as zones near dense vegetation. It provides long-term durability and protection. The system is certified with European Technical Approval ETA–10/0024.

The Mapetherm System Wool is a multi-layer adhesive system consisting of:

• Thermal insulation boards Geolan BP Etics, CE marked.
• Fiber-reinforced cementitious adhesive, resin-modified: Mapetherm AR1 GG (coarse-grained) or Mapetherm AR1 (fine-grained).
• Alkali-resistant fiberglass reinforcing mesh Mapetherm Net, weight 150 g/m², width 100 cm, with 5.0 × 5.0 mm mesh opening.
• Mechanical fixing anchors for the insulation boards.
• Water-based primer, colored, high-quality acrylic Quarzolite Base Coat or silicone-based Silancolor Base Coat.
• Final decorative coating, ready-to-use acrylic-based plaster Quarzolite Tonachino, offering high elasticity, water repellency, breathability, and resistance to mold and microorganisms; or Silancolor Tonachino, a mineral silicone-based plaster made from resins in aqueous dispersion, highly water-repellent and creating self-cleaning surfaces. This material offers high vapor permeability, good elasticity, and strong resistance to pollutants, mold, and microorganisms. Additionally, Silexcolor Tonachino, a mineral silicate-based plaster with modified potassium silicate in aqueous solution, is also available. It provides exceptionally high breathability and excellent resistance to mold and microorganisms.
• Reinforced corner profiles and drip-edge corner profiles (PVC with fiberglass mesh on both sides) for strengthening external corners.

In addition to the above components, supplementary materials are included as required for the complete and proper execution of the system.
