Mapetherm Tile System S

Mapetherm Tile System S is a complete External Thermal Insulation Composite System (ETICS), specially designed for cladding with small-sized ceramic tiles, clinker, or artificial bricks. It offers high energy efficiency, thermal comfort, and durability, while at the same time providing an aesthetically and technically superior alternative to traditional render finishes.

Mapetherm Tile System S is suitable for both new constructions and renovation projects, meeting the modern architectural demands for aesthetics, quality, and sustainability. The ability to apply finishes such as brick, clinker, or porcelain tiles allows for achieving either a traditional or contemporary appearance, while simultaneously protecting the structure from weathering and deterioration.

The Mapetherm Tile System is a multi-layer adhesive system consisting of:

• Surface preparation: When wall flatness and verticality requirements are not met, use Intomap R2 Fibro, a fiber-reinforced plaster.
• Adhesive for insulation panels: Polymer-modified (resin-based) cementitious adhesive Mapetherm AR1 or Mapetherm AR1 GG.
• Thermal insulation boards: Extruded polystyrene with a rough surface, or white/graphite expanded polystyrene with compressive strength of 200 kPa.
• Base coat: Polymer-modified (resin-based) cementitious adhesive Mapetherm AR1 applied in two layers.
• Reinforcement mesh: Alkali-resistant fiberglass mesh Mapetherm Net, 150 g/m² with 4x4 mm grid.
• Mechanical fixings: Anchors for securing the insulation panels.
• Corner profiles: Rigid corner beads and drip-edge corner beads (PVC with fiberglass mesh on both sides) for reinforcing external corners.
• Tile adhesive: Keraflex Maxi S1.
• Grout: Water-repellent grout Ultracolor Plus.

In addition to the materials listed above, complementary products are also included as necessary for the complete and proper execution of the system.
