Penebar Primer

PENEBAR PRIMER enhances the bonding between preformed sealants, like PENEBAR SW, and the concrete surfaces aiding in the installation process.

PENEBAR PRIMER should be applied to the substrate with a brush prior to installation of PENEBAR SW preformed joint sealer. PENEBAR PRIMER can be applied to various substrates including concrete, metal, and PVC and in horizontal, vertical, and overhead applications.

Using a brush apply PENEBAR PRIMER in a stripe with a minimum width of 50 mm (2 inches), at a minimum thickness of 0,1 mm (4 mils) and to the entire surface length to receive PENEBAR SW. Allow PENEBAR PRIMER to dry for 10 to 15 minutes at a temperature of 25°C (77°F) or longer when the temperature is lower. While PENEBAR PRIMER is still tacky, install PENEBAR SW by firmly pressing the entire length of the preformed joint sealer onto the primer. For vertical and overhead applications, press firmly for at least 10 seconds. PENEBAR SW
should be installed while PENEBAR PRIMER is tacky and within 3 hours after the primer has dried. If PENEBAR SW is not installed within 3 hours, reapply an additional coat of PENEBAR PRIMER
