Penecrete Mortar

Penecrete Mortar is a concrete repair waterproofing mortar with simultaneous chemical action and crystalline growth. The active chemicals contained in the product react with the by-products of cement hydration (such as calcium hydroxide) and trigger a catalytic reaction that leads to the formation of insoluble crystalline complexes. These complexes grow in the presence of moisture, blocking all capillary pathways and microcracks within the concrete, preventing water penetration and effectively making the concrete waterproof.

  • Installation of waterstop tapes and anchors at joints to ensure watertightness.
  • Repair following the removal of "forks" and "cones" (formwork spacers) and correction of defective joint construction.
  • Repair and filling of opened cracks.
  • Repair of holes and concrete honeycombs in both existing and new construction.

  • Withstands high hydrostatic pressures, either from the positive or the negative side of the concrete surface.
  • Can seal static hairline cracks up to 0.5 mm.
  • Easy to use – only needs to be mixed with water before application.
  • Allows the concrete to breathe.
  • Can be applied using a trowel, scraped, or sanded.
  • Can be applied on damp concrete.
  • Fast-setting.
  • Approved for use in potable water applications (NSF61).
  • Resistant to abrasion and mechanical surface wear.

For fillings, the indicative consumption is approximately 2 kg/L or 11 L per 22.70-kg bag.
For repairing construction joints or cracks, the indicative consumption is 1.3–1.5 kg per linear meter.
