Penetron

Penetron is a surface-applied crystalline waterproofing compound that penetrates and protects concrete in depth. When applied to the concrete surface, its active ingredients react with moisture and the by-products of cement hydration, initiating a catalytic reaction that forms insoluble crystals. These crystals migrate into the pores, capillaries, and microcracks of the concrete through osmotic action, blocking any further moisture ingress (even under high hydrostatic pressure).

  • Basement concrete floors and walls
  • Parking areas
  • Tunnels and underground galleries
  • Foundations
  • Swimming pools and water tanks
  • Water and wastewater treatment facilities

  • Becomes an integral part of the concrete, providing waterproofing for the entire service life of the structure.
  • Penetrates deeply via osmosis and seals capillaries up to 0.4 mm, as well as pores and microcracks.
  • Can be applied from either the positive or negative side of the concrete, even under high hydrostatic pressures.
  • Increases the compressive strength of concrete.
  • Resistant to chemical attack from aqueous solutions (pH 3–11 for continuous exposure, pH 2–12 for intermittent exposure) and offers protection against freeze–thaw cycles, aggressive groundwater, seawater, and carbonate, sulfate, and nitrate salts.
  • Can be applied to damp concrete or even freshly cast concrete.
  • Protects reinforcing steel and wire mesh.
  • Certified for potable water applications (NSF 61).
