Ravatherm XPS X Energy

The Ravatherm XPS X Energy insulation board is a new-generation extruded polystyrene (XPS) developed by Dow and produced by Ravago Hellas. It is a high thermal performance insulation material with a declared thermal conductivity λd = 0.029 W/mK, offering up to 30% better (lower) thermal conductivity compared to conventional competitive insulation materials.
The Ravatherm XPS X Energy board provides architects, builders, and contractors with new possibilities, and offers the end user excellent thermal insulation. This superior performance is achieved through an extruded polystyrene production technology enhanced with carbon particles. This technology significantly improves the product’s resistance to heat transfer by radiation — a particularly important factor in countries with warm climates, such as Greece.
The Ravatherm XPS X Energy insulation board continues to offer the proven and outstanding features of Dow’s original blue insulation products, namely: a closed-cell structure providing high mechanical strength, excellent moisture resistance, dimensional stability, good vapor permeability, and easy installation.
