Corrosion protection materials for reinforced concrete repairs are used to restore damage caused by steel corrosion due to carbonation or chloride penetration. After cleaning the reinforcement, special anti-corrosion coatings are applied to re-form its passive layer and protect it from further oxidation. Repair mortars with high adhesion are then used to restore the geometry and mechanical strength of the concrete.
